Scholarship Program
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Good Counsel Learning Center scholarship program! Your gift provides a student access to one-on-one instruction with an experienced and compassionate educator.
Eighty percent of students and families served during the 2019-2020 school year could not afford the full cost of tuition, instead paying a discounted rate through our scholarship program. Increasing tuition is not an option as those who have the greatest need for our services are the least likely to be able to afford it. 43% of adults with low levels of literacy live in poverty. Poverty also has a negative impact on children as well: by kindergarten, children from low-income families are at least one year behind national literacy norms.
